"Childhood's End" by David Gilmour
from the Pink Floyd Obscured By Clouds Album....Words may be a little
off...
It's in a medium 4/4, with punchy, driving chords, and a bit of a
bossa nova feel...i guess...if you don't have the album, I suggest getting
it...its probably the most un discovered floyd album there is...

Emi Ami
You Shout in your sleep perhaps the price is just too steep
Emi Ami
Is your consciousness at rest it was put to the test
Emi Ami
You Awake with a start to just the beating of your heart
G Emi
Just one man beneath the sky just too rich just too wise
G D Ami Emi
(Same Chords)
You said sail across the sea long past thoughts and memories'
Childhood's end your fantasys merge with harsh realities
Ended as the sailors hoist you find your eyes are growing moist
And all the fears never voiced say you have to make a final choice
G D
(replay the verse chords during the guitar solo-its one verse long)
G D Ami Emi
Who are you and who am I to say we know the reaon why
Some are born, some men die beneath one infinite sky
ther'll be war ther'll be peace and everything one day will cease
all the iron turn to rust all the proud men turn to dust
Ami G Emi
And everything time will mend So this song must end

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official PINK FLOYD tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
