Subject: TAB: D = R x T by The Pixies
"Distance Equals Rate Times Time" by Frank Black
Performed by the Pixies on ^ÑTrompe Le Monde^Ò
Tabbed by Erik Secrest (send corrections, comments, flames to:

(Keep in mind I^Òm new to this ^Ñplaying-by-ear^Ò thing ;)
The rhythm part is just E-A-C#, except for the chorus, which is
just C#.
The bass just plays the name note of each chord, except for in the
chorus, when it plays this:
G ----------------------------------
D -----2-------7--------------------
A ---2---2---7---7------------------
E -0-------5-------9-9-9-9-9-9-9-9--
CHORDS:
E A C#
e|-0-|-5-|-9--|
B|-0-|-5-|-9--|
G|-1-|-6-|-10-|
D|-2-|-7-|-11-|
A|-2-|-7-|-11-|
E|-0-|-5-|-9--|
Lyrics:
I had me a vision
There wasn^Òt any television
From looking into the sun
Looking into the sun
We got to think quick
Says blind St. Nick, Hey!
From looking into the sun
looking into the sun
We got to get some beer
We got no atmosphere
From looking into the sun
Looking into the sun
I had me a vision
There wasn^Òt any television
From looking into the sun
Looking into the sun
Looking into the sun
Looking into the sun
Looking into the^Å
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official PIXIES tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
