Speak Soft - by poor old lu.
(I know they didn't write it originally, but I am transcribing their adaptation
from the "Straight Six" EP.) I tried my best to combine guitar & piano in the
middle part. Cool chords in this song...the 'baby don't you talk' part of the
chorus doesn't sound right without the vocal melody, but I think that is what
he is playing. My band Leslie Can't Love plays this song so I thought I would
transcribe it. It sounds like Aaron Sprinkle is using a Phase or
Phase-shifter from the 70's.

Houdini closed himself inside of a box
he didn't have a trick to spring the lock
off the stage the people watched, the clock
prison could be a nice place to live
the bars on the window like bars on a crib
freedom is the least desired gift, to give
speak soft, baby don't you talk to me
[2nd instrumental section]:
repeat F / Am / Bm / G part.
Jerry had some beers and started to weep
it's time to turn away, it's his time to sleep
don't trouble yourself with seeking peace, go cheap

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official POOR OLD LU tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
