PUDDLE OF MUDD- DRIFT AND DIE
This song is sooo easy, its just like the other tabs have it, as far as the intro. And the rest is ALL triads. It may not be exactly right, but its gotta be damn close! I’ve only been playing for about one year, so if you know a better way, please let me know. Any other Puddle of Mudd songs are welcome! I want to learn all of them! Enjoy! jdyoung101@hotmail.com
Tune all strings down ½ step...
Chords used: Dm: 000231, Dsus2: 000230, Cadd9: 032030, G: 320030
The bridge and chorus are triads but I dont have the foggiest idea what they are called, but its easy.
INTRO:
Dm Dsus2 Dm Dsus2 Cadd9 G Cadd9 G
e-------1---------0-------1-------0----------0------0-------0-------0-------]
b-------3---------3-------3-------3----------3------3-------3-------3-------]
g-------2---------2-------2-------2----------0------0-------0-------0-------] REPEAT UNTIL BRIDGE
d------ x---------x------- x------ x----------2------0-------2-------0-------]
a-------x-------- x--------x------ x----------3------2-------3-------2-------]
e-------x---------x--------x------ x----------0------3-------0-------3-------]
BRIDGE
e---x-----x-----x----x----x----]
b---x-----x-----x----x----x----]
g---7-----5-----x----x----x----] REPEAT
d---7-----5-----5----3/---5----]
a---5-----3-----5----3/---5---- ]
e---x-----x-----3----1/---3-----]
CHORUS IS SAME AS BRIDGE, JUST DIFFERENT STRUM PATTERN
THEN THERE IS A LITTLE CHANGE UP, IT GOES LIKE THIS:
e---x---x----x----x----x----x----x----x----x----x----x----x----x----x-----]
b---x---x----x----x----x----x----x----x----x----x----x----x----x----x-----]
g---7---5----7----x----5----x----5----7----5----7----5----x----x----x-----]
d---7---5----7----5----5----5----5----7----5----7----5----5----3/---5-----]
a---5---3----5----5----3----5----3----5----3----5----3----5----3/---5-----]
e---x---x----x----3----x----3----x----x----x----x----x----3----1/---3-----]
The rest is self explanatory. Its the same triads, just different triads and strum patterns. Once you get used to the chords it will come naturally.
BAD ASS SONG THERE!!!
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official PUDDLE OF MUDD tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
