Performer: Pulp
Album: This Is Hardcore
Writers: Cocker/Doyle/Webber/Mackey/Banks
Transcribed by Aaron Heisler

_Notes:_ This is one of the best songs on the This Is
Hardcore LP. It's a nice mix of the typical Pulp
irony-laden pop and stadium rock that lends itself to
the Different Class era as much as it does This Is
Hardcore. That said it also has lovely, if
unexpectedly melancholy, lyrics about lost love.
Anybody else detect some McCartney in Jarvis' vocal
here? It's pretty simple to play, all the chords are
major chords apparently. I play this song entirely
with E formation barre chords because this is
apparently how the song is played by Mark Webber -
otherwise the slides do not work (except for D# which
I sometimes play as a power chord)
_Effects:_ The verse is played clean but later on
distortion and overdrive are introduced.
_Tuning:_ This song is played in standard tuning.
(EADGBe).

B - 799877
D# - 11,13,13,12,11,11 OR: D#5 - X113XX (power chord)

section where things like this are exchanged but as
this is a Pulp tab it does not fit...

Thanks again...
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official PULP tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
