Rainbow - Since You've Been Gone
Original Tablature: Simon Chaplin (scc92@ecs.soton.ac.uk)
Subsequent Versions: Harry (tab@electricweb.org.uk)
This is a pretty big revision to my first tab for this song. I've written
the Verse, completely rewritten the Pre-Chorus and the Break, and changed
the solo a fair bit. The main help with the timing here is the bar lines.
However, I'm not quite 100% certain about their positions in the solo.
Tuning: Standard
Notation:
~ - Vibrato (Wiggle the string about)
Xb - Bend up (No more than a semitone)
XhY - Pick note X then hammer-on Y
YpX - Pick note Y then pull-off to X
X/Y - Pick note X then slide up to Y
Y\X - Pick note Y then slide down to X
YrX - Bend string to play note Y on fret X then release bend, giving note X

It continues but has pretty much completely faded out at this point. If
you're good enough at improvising you might make something up from here on
while guitar 2 plays Chorus B once more and ends on the Pre Solo.
If your playing the whole thing on one guitar I recommend only playing the
Solo up to where the singing comes in and ending on Chorus B X 2 followed
by the Pre-Solo. Alternatively, you could play the whole solo and put one
Chorus B and the Pre-Solo after it.
ORDER:
LEAD------------------------------------------------------------------RYTHM
(Rest)----------------------------------------------------------------Intro
Verse X 2------------------------------------------------------------(Rest)
(Rest)---------------------------------------------------------Pre-Chorus A
(Rest)---------------------------------------------------------Chorus A X 3
Verse X 2------------------------------------------------------------(Rest)
(Rest)---------------------------------------------------------Pre-Chorus A
(Rest)---------------------------------------------------------Chorus A X 3
Break X 2------------------------------------------------------------(Rest)
(Rest)---------------------------------------------------------Pre-Chorus B
(Rest)---------------------------------------------------------Chorus B X 2
Pre-Solo-------------------------------------------------------Chorus B End
Solo---------------------------------------(Rest one bar then) Chorus B X 3
As you can see there is little overlap so by good control of your tone you
can play the whole thing on one guitar. The only bits that you can't sing
while playing are the solo and possibly the verse. If you finish the song
as I suggested above the former of these is not a problem.

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP, representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are "hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the official RAINBOW tablature which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route. These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the NY Times Article. We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
