( "I Think About You During the Commercials")
[Intro]:
[ E D ] 3x
[Verse]:
A E D A
I can't sleep at night and I can't sleep at day
E D A
The TV dinner's keeping me awake
E D A
The words are crawling in the words are crawling out
E D A
The words are playing poker on my snout
[Pre-Chorus]:
D
The teary eyed relativity
A
Is finally starting to make sense to me now... and I worry
D A
Because the algebra --?--?--?--?--
E
--?--
[Chorus]:
A E D
I think about you during the commercials
A E D
I try and keep you away
A E D
I think about you during the commercials everyday
A
Stuck in my brain
D
Growing pains
A
Go to the brain
E D
Except sometimes when Jason talks to Mike and they
A
really communicate
[Verse]
This doll is just a head
In "The Brain That Wouldn't Die"
On Mystery Science Theater last night
But when I get too drunk
And start picturing your face
I think of all the girls of Melrose Place
[Pre-Chorus]:
Consider all the possibilities offered in by new technology
One million channels
TV Guide says --?---
Five great math students we should be proud of
As Americans
[Go to Chorus]
D
All the time
A
Stuck in my mind
D
But when the brain
A
Gets overrun
E D
I wonder why the meathead never gets the business and the palm trees bit
A E D A
Like me and you, like me and you
E D A
Like me and you, like me and you
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official RIVERDALES tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
