Artist: Santana
Song: Jingo
Tabbed by: Paul (sitar5@unm.edu)
~~ = hold note
9h11 = play 9th fret, then hammer on 11th fret
15r14 = bend 14th fret up to sound like the 15th fret, then play the note
while reverse bending
17p15 = play 17th fret, then pull off to 15th fret
This is the way the verse part of the song goes (of course,
the song IS an instrumental so I guess it shouldn't be
called a verse part... but you know what i mean... this is
the way it goes):

That's pretty much the way it goes... Santana does some nifty
variations on the melody the second time through (which are
really hard for me to tab), but the basic melody stays the
same. If anybody has any questions, comments, complaints,
or corrections, please email me. KEEP ON STRUMMING:)
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official SANTANA tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
