Sleep by Savatage from the album Edge of Thorns, 1993.

Every tab I've ever seen for this song has been inaccurate.
This may not be completely right, but it sounds right to me.
Bear with me, because this is my first tab. Hope you enjoy!

Sleep
Written by Jon Oliva, Criss Oliva, Paul O'Neill
Intro
Verse One:
Hey there you
Way out there in the distance
Can you hear me
Are you there
I know it's late
So please forgive my persistence
But I'm hanging
Do you care
Chorus:
So lay back
Call off the attack
Cause if you look deep
Dreams are nothing that I lack
And all I seek
A final chance to speak
And I would let the whole thing keep
If I could just sleep
Verse 2:
Hey there you
Way out there could you show me
Just a signal
Or a sign
That after all
All these years that you've known me
And I'm not just killing time
(Chorus)
Bridge:
As I lay there late at night
Building castles in the air
Out of alibis and all those little lies
And then I look inside
And pray that I don't care
I don't care
I don't care
Outro:
Hey there you way out there in the distance...
Well, there it is, a great song, and my first tab ever! hope you like it!

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official SAVATAGE tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
