VERSE:
C#m B A E
to me the only thing left after a while
was that night we watched
documentaries all through morning
then you kicked me out
you opened up your screen door
and threw me out of the porch
eit was summer than and i drove home whistling
down the pike, yeah
CHORUS:
A E
and that was that
A
our one sweet night together
E
and under highway signs
C#m B A E
i watched our love start faltering
and dissipating
and i counted all the headlights
to make sure i was all right
BRIDGE:
[palm mute]
C#5 B5 E5 B5
now i'm wondering
is it me or is it me
that can't see silver lining?
so i fucked it up
i watched you go
i saw my hand not dialing the phone
all i'm left to do
is remember the dull room
VERSE:
we sat in blue stream light
watching the strike of 59
dreamed of wrecking my underwear
oh can i touch your cheeks somewhere
under dirt filled rainy nights
with my socks stuck in the mud
oh please come dive in puddles with me
CHORUS:
our one sweet night together
our one sweet night together
our one sweet night together
and under highway signs
i watched our love start faltering
and dissipating.
and i counted all the headlights
to make sure i was all right.
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official SAVES THE DAY tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
