Subject: TAB: "Mean Distance" by Sebadoh
This song is off the Smash Your Head on the Punk Rock! album
Hello, my name is Justin and E.T. has placed me in a
casket filled with cornbread as he smilied at me with his shiny energized
and amazing eyes.
Hi!! Here is the tab for the coolest Sebadoe song, "Mean
Distance":
Chords: E5, D5, C5
tHESE CHORDS ARE PLAYED WITH ALL THE OTHER STRINGS OPEN AS
WELL AS THE NORMAL 5th chord fingerings, so they aren't technically 5th
chors, probabably suspened fourth chords, etc., or whatever exactly they
are I do not know!!!!!!! AAAAhhhhhhhh!!!!!
You must play these chords in a smoothly swaying and
rockinglike motion as you smile as well.
E5: 079900, D5: 057700, C5: 035500
yay motherfucker
verse:
E5 D5 E5 D5 E5
Alone with the magic I know it is a crime swimming in the
D5 E5 D5 C5 D5 C5
oceans of my mind. Below the surface a presence remains subjective
D5 C5 D5
indecision, sings I'm deranged!!! AAAAAAhhhhhh, aaaaaahhhHHHH....
E5 D5 E5 D5 E5
Cykokinesis, though all it isn't mine, designed to a
D5 E5 D5 C5 D5 C5
degree, I welcome the life.. Be aware I'm a weary wreck, so wrap
D5 C5 D5
your hands around my neck!! AAAAaaahhhhh..., aaaahhhhhh...
E5 D5 E5 D5 E5
Half crazed elf friends given an escape, the bands so
D5 D5 C5 D5
misgiven I call it MSD...Dreaming of a goddess I admire and trust,
C5 D5 C5
deal with my neurosis and satisfy my lust!!! AAAAaaaahhh....
D5
AAAAAAaaaaahhhhhhhh......
Then for the speed metal ending to this song, use the same chords
and play them much faster and insaner and use the words for the second
half of the last section (dreming of..) and then go to the beginning
SECTION AND ONLY DO THE FIRST HALF OF IT (ALONE WITH..), AND THEN do the
first half of the second section (cykokinesis though...), go insane even
more and then end, yay
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official SEBADOH tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
