Skinlab is an awesome band from here the Bay Area.
I have seen two different ways to play this song but
if you’ve heard the song then some great parts aren’t included.
Anyway I though I should tab it the way I play, If only I had
that Damn solo, I am not good at them, I never try, anyway this
is what I have that is similar to most but I think sound better.
Intro:
-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
--5-5-3-5-5-3-5-3-6-6-3-6-6-3-6-3--
-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
Chorus:
-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
--5-5-3-5-5-3-5-3-6-6-3-6-6-3-6-3--
--5-5-3-5-5-3-5-3-6-6-3-6-6-3-6-3--
--5-5-3-5-5-3-5-3-6-6-3-6-6-3-6-3--
Heavy Part:
-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
---------------3----------------4-- you can bend these also
------------3-5-------------4-6----
--5-5-3-5-5-------6-6-4-6-6--------
repeat from the start
Then there is a little heavy part before solo
Just Play
-----
-----
-----
--6--
--6--
--4—
During solo you can do the backing guitar
Which is just playing the Chorus riff but break it apart
-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
--5-5-3-5---3-5-3-6-6-3-6---3-6-3--
--5-5-3-5---3-5-3-6-6-3-6---3-6-3--
--5-5-3-5---3-5-3-6-6-3-6---3-6-3--
Then after the solo it get a fast Chorus riff
Slow intro riff while Steev keeps saying
“Don’t Let Them Bring you down”
And it is over
For my ending comments as if you care, I would like to say that
this album and their new one Revolting Room kicks ass and if
you don’t have their new one get it. Ok an also pick up a CD
from Zao, great band.
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official SKINLAB tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
