(3:43)
Outro is same synth riffs as intro.
Lyrics:
Verse 1:
You make it hard to breathe.
It's as if I'm suffocating.
And when you're next to me,
I can feel your heart beat through my skin.
It makes me sad to think this could all be for nothing.
I wish there was a way, a way for you to see inside me.
I've never felt this way, about anyone or anything. Tell me...
Chorus:
What do I have to do, to make you happy?
What do I have to do, to make you understand?
What do I have to do, to make you want me?
But if I can't make you want me, what do I have to do?
Verse 2:
I know exactly what you're thinking.
But I swear this time I will not let you down.
I'm not as selfish as I used to be.
That is a part of me that never made me proud.
Well right now I think I would try anything.
Anything at all to keep you satisfied.
God I hope you see what losing you would do to me.
All I want is one more chance...tell me...
Chorus:
What do I have to do, to make you happy?
What do I have to do, to make you understand?
What do I have to do, to make you want me?
But if I can't make you want me, just tell me, tell me!
Bridge/Interlude:
How can I...how can I...how can I...
Chorus:
What do I have to do, to make you want me?
What do I have to do, to make you understand?
What do I have to do, to make you love me?
And if I can't make you love me, just tell me,
What do I have to do...to forget about you?
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official STABBING WESTWARD tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
