STAIND - "For You (Standard Tuning)" Tablature
Official STAIND Tablature & Sheet Music »
Band: Staind
Album: Break The Cycle
Song: For You
Okay, this isn't exactly in standard tuning, but it's close. I've already submitted a tab for the song "For You" in Staind's low tuning system, but then I realized that there are no really low pitched chords in this song. So, all you have to do to play this one is drop your low E string down to D#, a half step down. The other five strings are in standard tuning, so this tab is written as tuned Eb, A, D, G, B, e. It's nice if you're just playing this one song amidst a bunch of other songs that are in standard tuning.

Eb|-----------|-2----------|-2-2--------|-2-x-2-x-2-x-0-2-0
Run through the chorus twice, and then finish up with that intro riff a few times and that's it. The song actually ends in the middle of the verse/outro riff; listen to the song for the timing on that.
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official STAIND tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
