OK. This song is pretty straight forward and a very fun bass line to
play!! The only really tricky parts are on the first line where there
is the 3-5 (E) and then 3-5 (A)...on the 3 on the A you want to hold
that note for an extra second..like three-five-threeeee-five-five-two
three. That is about how it would sound! And then on the 3rd bar down
where you see the 2-3-4 on the G...you want to play that all pretty
fast. If you have any questions or need any help just e-mail me at
kris_long_1999@yahoo.com. Have Fun! I almost forgot to add that this
isn't the whole song. The second verse is different but I just play
it the same as the first verse and I didn't tab the whole break in
the middle. I hate leaving everyone short on these tabs but this song
is over 7 minutes long and it would take all day to do this!
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official STEELY DAN tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
