Answer the phone - Sugar Ray
The song is tuned 1/2 step down, which I find completely useless. You =
don't have to tune your strings down unless you want to play along to =
the song. If you want to play along to the song AND not tune, then you =
can probably figure it out, right?
Intro (theres some funky effects here, don't ask me):
Eb---0--0---0--0---0--0---0--0-
Bb---------5--5---7--7---3--3--
Gb--2--2-----------------------
Db--------2------4------0------
Ab-0---------------------------
then A5, E5, F#5, D5 (fingerings, not actual chord sound)
Gb-------9---11---7- x2
Db---7---9---11---7-
Ab---7---7---9----5-
Eb---5--------------
The 2nd guitar plays E5 w/ some effect every once in a while, over the =
D5 in the Chorus and in the intro:
You can figure out the rhythm right? :)
Verse:
For the first time there is no guitar, then:
A5 etc.
Db-6\7-7------
Ab-6\7-7------
Eb-4\5-5------
P.M.............................
Do the A5, E5, F#5, D5 progression once palm muted then:
Chorus:
A5, E5, F#5, D5 x2
***Verse again***
***Chorus again***
Bridge:
***Intro again****
Chord progression once
***Chorus x2***
End on A5 and do the funky harmonic thing on A5 :)
I gave up on figuring out all the little stuff, but i haven't seen a tab =
thats actually going in the right direction with this song so I hope =
someone will pick up my slack. You can contact me at jansuw@hotmail.com =

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official SUGAR RAY tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
