SUPREMES - "love is here" Tablature
Official SUPREMES Tablature & Sheet Music »
Somebody must have liked the Supremes, because from mid-64 through
mid-67 they had 10 #1 singles in 14 tries. Not me, though - this and
'Reflections' were pretty much the only ones I ever liked. According to
HDH, the spoken interludes were supposed to make Diana Ross sound
'sexy', although I wouldn't find her sexy in Nancy Sinatra's boots and
Madonna's garter belt combined. --AWR

Eb6 Bb Gb Db
(Look what you have done, look what you have done)
Spoken: "You closed the door to your heart and you turned the key
Ab/Eb Eb
Locked your love away from me"
Verse 2:
Love is here (love is here)
And, oh my darling, now you're gone (now you're gone)
You made me love you (you made me love you)
And, oh my darling, now, now you're gone (now you're gone)
You said lovin' you would make life beautiful
With each passing day
But as soon as love came into my heart
You turned and you walked, just walked away
"You stripped me of my dreams
You gave me faith, then took my hope - look at me now"
Verse 3:
Look at me
See what lovin' you has done to me
Look at my face (look at my face)
See how cryin' has left its trace (left its trace)
After you made me all your own (made me all your own)
Then you left me all alone (left me all alone)
You made your words sound so sweet
Knowing that your love I couldn't keep
"My heart cries out for your touch, but you're not there
And the lonely cry fades in the air"
Coda (chords as per first two lines of verse):
Love is here (love is here)
And, oh my darling, now you're gone (now you're gone)
Love is here (love is here)
And, oh my darling, now you're gone (now you're gone)
You made me love you
Oh, my darling, now you're gone
You made me love you
Oh, my darling, now you're gone [fade]

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official SUPREMES tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
