System of a Down
Aerials
[I do believe that this is a perfect tab so ignore the low ratings
from those who are too stupid to submit their own tabs. They're
probably only 14 or something and are currently listening to the
likes of Sum 41 or Limp Bizkit]
I don't know whats wrong with some of you people, but the intro is
played on GUITAR, NOT BASS. Bass doesn't come in til riff 1.
I've seen it played live 4 times, and not once did Shavo play the intro.
The reason it sounds as if it is on bass is because Daron's guitar is damn
low. Its the same with ATWA, the intro is played entirely on guitar for that
song too.
Riff 1
------------------
------------------
------------------
-8*-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-
(you can figure out the rhythm for this part, its not hard)
Riff 2
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
---------------------------------
-0000-11*-0000-9*-0000-8*-0000-5*
(no, the 11 and 9 etc are not played on the 3rd string)
Riff 3
----------------------------------------
----------------------------------------
----------------------------------------
-3-2-0*--5-3-2*-3-5-7-8-10-8-7-5-3-2-0*-
(during slow part)
Riff 4
------------------------------------
------------------------------------
------------------------------------
-9-8-9-8-9-8-9-8-10-8-10-8-10-8-10-8
(you play this just before the heavy part and after riff 1)
Riff 5
----------------------------------------
----------------------------------------
----------------------------------------
-3-2-0*--5-3-2*-3-5-7-8-10-8-7-5-3-2-0*-
(heavy part)
At the end you can play with slides if you want. Shavo doesn't
in the song but i dunno, play em if you want.
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official SYSTEM OF A DOWN tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
