Official TABITHAS SECRET Tablature & Sheet Music »
Song: Tabitha's Secret
Band: Here Comes Horses
MatchFireLP@aol.com , 8 May 2000
M.Jason@bboard.com , 23 January 2002
The basic chord structure was done by MatchFireLP@aol.com. Get it? MatchFireLP?
The "Don't Play With Matches" record? By Tabithas's Secret? Ha ha! Anyway. I
just added a few things (intro and solo) and corrected any mistakes along the
way, but if you wanna play it exactly as they do on the record, go get another
tab.

(verse)
G
Help me to remember, girl, if you don't mind
'Cause I feel just like the jester when the music died
C
Haven't seen you lately,
G
But I know that nothing's changed
G
Feeling kinda shaky but the wounds have healed
There's a crack there in the doorway where the walls
C
have peeled And I still see the sun go down
G
on a clear day
(chorus)
F
Here comes horses
C G
There goes the rain
C G
Here goes nothing, here it comes again
(verse)
I was thinking I was angry but I'll let it go
I was waiting on a miracle but nothing showed
And they say our new messiah
is at the local bar
Greetings from the homefront have you
heard the news, That daddy bet his paycheck
on the horses shoes
and we won't feel that way
for a long long time
(chorus)
(solo under verse/chorus progression)
(verse)
Sitting in a taxi at the evenings end
I was trying to remember where it was I'd been and
Whether I've got someplace else to be
I ask you why you come here; you say just because
I guess I could do without it if I knew what it was, well
It really doesn't matter, when you look at me that way
(chorus) x2

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official TABITHAS SECRET tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
