OK here's how to play the song. Figure out yourself how to strum the
chords. The rhythm is a simple four measure beat.
Intro: | D | Em | G | D/A A |
Verse #1:
D Em G D/A A D Em
G D/A A
I guess now it's time for me to give up I feel it's time
D Em
G D/A A D Em G D/A A
Got a picture of you beside me Got you're lipstick mark still on your
coffee cup
D Em G
D/A A
Got a fist of pure emotion Got a head of shattered dreams
Bm A Asus4 A G A
Gotta leave it, gotta leave it all behind now
Chorus: same as intro riff
Whatever I said, whatever I did I didn't mean it
I just want you back for good
Whenever I'm wrong just tell me the song and I'll sing it
You'll be right and understood
Verse #2: same as verse #1
Unaware but underlined I figured out this story
It wasn't good
But in the corner of my mind I celebrated glory
But that was not to be
In the twist of separation you excelled at being free
Can't you find a little room inside for me
chorus
Whatever I said, whatever I did I didn't mean it
I just want you back for good
Whenever I'm wrong just tell me the song and I'll sing it
You'll be right and understood
bridge
Bm D/F# Bm D/F#
And we'll be together, this time is forever
Bm D/F#
We'll be fighting and forever we will be
Bm D/B
G D/F#
So complete in our love We will never be uncovered again
chorus ( 2 times )
Whatever I said, whatever I did I didn't mean it
I just want you back for good
Whenever I'm wrong just tell me the song and I'll sing it
You'll be right and understood
outro:
D Em G D/A A D
I guess now it's time that you came back for good
That's it. The song is not very difficult to play. Just listen to it and
you'll hear the strum. It's a fun song to play and sing at one time.

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official TAKE THAT tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
