THE TASTE (featuring Rory Gallagher) - Morning Sun
A groovy Rock-composition of the early Rory when he still was with
Taste. The song was released on their second Album "On the Boards".
Several live-recordings, so on "Live at the Isle of Wight" or on the
bootleg "the Irish werewolf" document Rorys liking of this energetic
and, due to his sudden changes of metrum and dynamic, surprising track.
I transcribed the Main riff, which is also underlaying the verses and
the bridge part.
Rory probably used the neck-pickup of his old Stratocaster and sure
a lot of distortion to play this song. The solo he played with a highly
rated compressor. The clean sound of the bridge part you should control
with your guitar-volume combined with a slight stroke.

cold as Decembre I can't remember what I've done
looks like the morning sun
that's come to play outside my window
another night has gone
if something's changed then it does not show
she shines so brightly
and make your two eyes blink
but you know she can't be found
when the sun begins to sink
she looks like the morning sun
but you must remember
she's as cold as Decembre
I can't remember what I've done
looks like the morning sun
that's come to play outside my window
[...] of the night [...] ???
if something's changed then it does not show

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official TASTE tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
