This is a cover of one of my favorite songs of all time, and it's pretty
much the same, except for some different lyrics, and the fact that it's
played one step higher than OpIvy played it:
Chords:
Bb - Eb - Fii - Eb
These are played both as barre chords:
E--------------------
B--------------------
G-------8---10---8---
D---8---8---10---8---
A---8---6----8---6---
E---6----------------
Bb Eb Fii Eb
And on the high strings for the ska parts:
Bb Eb Fii Eb
E---6---6----8---6---
B---6---8---10---8---
G---7---8---10---8---
D---8---8---10---8---
A--------------------
E--------------------
Listen to TSAM to pick up the rhythym, it's real easy.
Lyrics: (the added part is my own interpretation of what Jeff is singing)
There's a war going down between my brothers tonight. I don't want no war
going down, going down tonight.
Stop it, stop it, stop it, stop it, stop it, stop it, stop it, yeah stop
the fighting, stop the fighting, stop the fighting, stop the fighting,
stop the fighting, yeah.
Civilization? Ha! I call it as I see it. I call this bullshit, you know I
still cannot believe it. Our evolution now has gone the way of hate. A
world evolved, resolved into it's stupid fate.
(*Added part) Everyone has time for the time of living. All can see our
differences condemned but not forgiven. We are all guilty, we are all the
same. We are all guilty, we are all the same.
All so different, yeah, I say we're all the same. All caught, you know,
in this division game. Self destruction fast impending like a bullet. No
one can stop it, once it's fired no one can control it.
(Repeat added part)
A final word, wait, it's not a call to action. This ain't no sect, we
ain't no fuckin' faction. Unity, Unity, Unity you've heard it all before.
This time it's not exclusive, we wanna stop the war.
Stop the war, stop the fighting, stop the fighting, stop the fighting,
stop the fighting, stop the fighting, yeah.
Ain't nothing wrong, with another unity song.
Ain't nothing wrong, with another unity song.
Ain't nothing wrong, ain't nothing wrong, ain't nothing wrong, ain't
nothing wrong with another unity song.
Unity, as one stand together. Unity, evolution's gotta come.
Unity, as one stand together. Unity, evolution's gotta come.
Unity, as one stand together. Unity, evolution's gotta come.
Unity, as one stand together. Unity, evolution's gotta come right now!
That's it! Not too tough, but it's a great song, written by a great band,
and performed here by another great band, Telegraph. Hey, please e-mail
me with questions, requests,
or to talk Telegraph stuff.
Thanx
Luke
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official TELEGRAPH tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
