TELEVISION - "Glory" Tablature
Official TELEVISION Tablature & Sheet Music »
From: yorkie@praxis.co.uk (John Howell)
Subject: TAB: Glory by Television
One of my favourite songs, lovingly tabbed out to the best of my ability.
This is for Fred Hamilton, and the guy up in Glasgow who asked about
Television songs and who I don't think I managed to mail through to. Can
I put in a request for anyone to mail me any Television or Tom Verlaine
songs they have? I'm interested in sorting out some sort of archive of
his stuff. Anyway...
Glory by Television, from the album Adventure, the first song from
Television's second album.
The main riff is in D. It simply moves up to E, and down to A
for the chorus:
(Main riff in D):
e-|-----------------------|
B-|-----------------------|
G-|-----2-----0-2-4-2---0-|
D-|-0-0-----0---------0---|
A-|-----------------------|
E-|-----------------------|
(Bass):
G-|-----2h4-----2h4-0-|
D-|-0-0-----0-0-------|
A-|-------------------|
E-|-------------------|
Here's the structure of the whole song. The note at the start
of each line indicates the note to start playing the main
riff in.

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official TELEVISION tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
