TENACIOUS D - "Jesus Ranch" Tablature
Official TENACIOUS D Tablature & Sheet Music »
PROPS GO TO: JohnnyWu2@aol.com
This song is pretty basic. You can play without the hammer ons and it sounds fine.
The chords are all majors and minors and all fairly standard.
This is tabbed from the version you would hear on the actual episode.
The > represents a hammer on from the first number to the number following it.
The chords that you should form with your left hand are in green.
It should also be noted that these chords are the same as Sasquatch.

Section 5
This is the end, the finally, the rocking finish. Basically it starts with JB slammin the four chords from the verse and Kyle playing a fast solo type lick. It then goes into Kyle playing those 4 chords only in different forms, and JB singing skat style. It's difficult to do alone. This is just the way i play the solo, it might be slightly different from the way KG plays it, but as long as it's fast and hard then it doesn't matter how you play it. The notes are basically from the Bminor pentatonic scale and they are played very rapidly. The ^ means bend and 1/2 means bend a half step up.

Notes: Well that's the song, its a good one too. Good luck playing it and email me if there are any problems with it. I got most of the lyrics from http://www.sidehatch.com but some of them are a bit off if you ask me. You can sing whatever words you think are necessary, i'm only dealing with the guitar parts. So rock on.
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official TENACIOUS D tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
