TESLA
Signs
C Bm A G
And the sign says long haired freaky people need not apply
D Bm G A
So I tuck my hair under my hat and I went in to ask him why
Bm G
He said you look like a fine outstanding young man, I think you'll do
D A G A
So I took off my cap and said imagine that, me working for you
CHORUS
D C G
Signs, signs, everywhere signs
D C G
Fuckin' up the scenery, messin' my mind
A G
Do this, don't do that
C
Can't you read the sign?
And the sign says all trespassers will be shot on sight
So I jumped the fence and yelled at the house hey, what gives you the right
You put up a fence to keep me out or to keep mother nature in
If God were here he'd tell it to your face, man you're some kind of sinner
CHORUS
And the sign says you got to have a membership card to get inside
solo over chord progression
And the sign says everybody welcome come in kneel down and pray
And at the end of it all they passed the plate around and I didn't have a
penny to pay
So I got me a pen and paper, and I made out my own fuckin' sign
It said thank you, Lord, for thinkin' 'bout me, I'm alive and doin' fine
CHORUS
Peace, love, and soul,
Paul Zimmerman
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official TESLA tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
