"Mean to Me" -- Tonic
h = hammer on
ho = hammer off
^ = bend
/ = slide up
\ = slide down
Capo 2
Intro/Bridge:
(Strum the first chord from the bottom up -- listen to the CD for
the rythm -- this is also played in the "bridge" right after the solo)
--0--3--0-----0--0--0--3--0--
--1--3--1-----1--1--1--3--1--
--2--0--0-----2--0--2--0--0--
--2--0--2-0h2-2--2--2--0--2--
--0--2--3-----0--3--0--2--3--
--0--3--------0-----0--3-----
Riff 1:
(Strum the chords a few times -- listen to CD)
--------------------------
--------------------------
-----------------4--------
-----------------4--6--4--
--------0-2-4-6--2--6--4--
--0-2-4-------------4--2--
Solo:
(Not completely right, but close enough)
-----------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------9-9/11------------------
--9^-^-^9--99-9^po7-------7--9^-^-^---------7^po5-------7--
--------------------9-7h9-------------------------7^po5----
-----------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------
---------------------------------9-9/11-9--
--9^-^-^99-9^po7-------7--9^-^-^-----------
-----------------9-7h9---------------------
-------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------
That's basically it...before the solo, go to an E chord (|022100|) and behind the solo,
just play the chorus. You can figure it out...s'not that hard once you listen to the song.
On the solo, at the |--9^-^-^9--99-9^ho7--| part, bend the 9 three seperate times then hit it
again and hold it a second, then double pick it real quick and release to the 7.
Listen to the CD and you'll get the hang of it. Have fun.
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official TONIC tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
