Thick ~~by Tonic from Lemon Parade
Transcribed by Tom Frank @ Unsheated@aol.com
This song is played with pretty heavy distortion, but there is also an
acoustic guitar thrown in there by Hart like he does in mostly all of Tonic's
songs. It's fine to play without an acoustic guitar, which is actually the
third guitar used anyway in the song, because it doesn't make much of a
difference when playng it.
The song is played in standard tuning. All chords are played as power chords
except for Dm as shown below...
F G C D Dm
(E) -1----3----3----5----1
(B) -1----3----3----5----3
(G) -2----4----5----7----2
(D) -3----5----5----7----0
(A) -3----5----3----5----x
(E) -1----3----x----x----x
symbols used for tab: ~ = hammer down, p = palm mute,
/ = slide up, \ = slide down, ^ = bend half step

**** Play this exactly for the first line, but for the rest of the **** lines

The outro is just basically the intro played heavier and with two guitars. I
have a feeling tht it might not be the same Dm played, because i think i can
hear a higher note sometimes. So for the outro you can try playing 56775x
instead of 1320xx. That's the whole song for ya.
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official TONIC tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
