From: Go Whalers <dshapiro@sdcc13.ucsd.edu>
Subject: 1st solo to "Roseanna" by Toto
First solo to "Roseanna" by Toto.
Notation:
/ means slide up, \ means slide down. i.e. 15/17 means pick
the 15th fret, then slide to the 17th fret without picking.
/15 means slide to the 15th fret from further down (arbitrary)
and 17/ means pick the 17th fret, and slide up the neck (again
arbitrarily).
p means pull-off, h means hammer-on
8b10 means pick the 8th fret, then bend up to the note made from
fretting the tenth fret, i.e., in this case, a full step.
8b10b8 means bend a full step up and then back down to the original
note.
tilde or ~ means vibrato.

Below: the b15 means, from the bent note, pick it again. So
13b15 b15 means bend up a full step, and while there, pick the
note again.

The 15b17 [18] means bend up a full step from the 15th fret, while
there, use your pinky to fret one fret higher (i.e. the 16th fret)
and pick the note while holding the bend, thus sounding the
Bb which is made normally
by just fretting the 18th fret. Make sense?
After this pinky thing, take your pinky off, pick the original (A)
note, and release the bend back down to the G at the 15th fret.

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP, representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are "hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the official TOTO tablature which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route. These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the NY Times Article. We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
