Song: Baby One More Time (original – B. Spears)
B-side from Turn CD 1.
I know that there are already a number of versions of this song here,
but I don't think any of them are quite complete. Having used these
for inspiration and listened to the song hundreds of times I think I
have it perfect. I have put in the words as I didn't know them all
before I started listening to it (neither did Fran the first time
they played it on radio 1 – someone held them up on a bit of paper
for him while he played!!)
The position you play the chords is important so take note!!! Get
practicing those barre chords!!!
Standard tuning
Barre Chords
Bm :x24432
F# :244322
D :x57775
E :022100
G :355433
A :577655
Intro:
Bm F# D E F# (three times)
(on the Bm minor trying lifting your middle finger off the B string
so it becomes x24422 – sorry I'm not too good at working out the
names – think it's B5 – listening to the recording will give you an
idea of what I mean!!
The intro chords are used throughout unless otherwise stated:
Verse 1:
Oh baby baby how was I supposed to know, something wasn't right here.
Oh baby baby I shouldn't have let you go, and now you're out of
sight.
Bridge:
Show me how you want it to be,
Tell me baby cos I need to know now just because
Chorus:
My loneliness is killing me, and I
I must confess I still believe, still believe,
When I'm not with you I lose my mind, give me a sign
And hit me baby one more time
Verse 2:
Oh baby baby the reason I breathe is you, girl you got me blind
Oh pretty baby there's nothing I wouldn't do,
It's not the way I planned
Bridge – Chorus
Middle 8: (chords change)
Bm F# D E F#
Oh baby baby how was I supposed to know
G A G E F# Bm
Oh pretty baby I shouldn't have let you go I must confess
F# D E F#
That my loneliness is killing me now , don't you know I still
G A G E F#
Believe that you will be here just give me sign now hit me baby one
more time
Finish with 1 chorus, ending on Bm.
Listen to the recordings, work out the timings and your there!!
Enjoy and have fun at those parties!!!

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official TRAVIS tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
