"You say you want, diamonds on a ring of gold, you say you want your story
to reamin untold but all the promises we made from the cradle to the grave
when all I want is you"
Ok, I don't know the bits for "You say you'll give me a highway with no one
on it treasure just to look upon it all the riches in the night"
Them, hen he sings, "You say, you'll give me eyes in a moon of blindness a
river in a time of dryness a harbour in the tempest" this little riff is
played
e------5-----5-----5-----5
b--5------5-----5-----5--
At "But all the promises we made from the cradle to the grave" part, go to this little riff:
e-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2---
b--2-----2-----2-----2-----3-----3-----3-----3-----2-----2-----2-----2
e--2-----2-----2-----2-----2

At "When all I want is you" play this riff:
e-----5-----5-----5-----5-----5-----5-----5-----5-
b--5-----5-----5-----5-----5-----5-----5-----5----
Ok, I get lost about here at the end of "all I want is you" and during "You say you want your
love to work out right, to last with me through the night to last with me through the night
you say you want a dfiamond on a ring of gold your story to remain untold, you story to
remain untold, your love not to grow cold all the promises we made from the cradle to the grave
when all I want is you"
Later, at "Your love, all I want is your love, all I want is your love...." Switch to this little riff:
e-9--9--9--9--9--9--9--9--9--9--9--9--9--9--9--9-
b-5--5--5--5--7--7--7--7--5--5--5--5--7--7--7--7-
then The solo:
e-17-----17-----17-----17-----17-----17-----17-----17-----17-----17----
b-----14-----14-----14-----14-----14-----15-----15-----15-----15-----15
e--------17-----
b---15----------
e-----17-----17-----17-----17------------17-------17-------17-------17
b-14-----14-----14-----14------14---14-------15-------15-------15------
e-------17-------------17-
b--15-------15---15-------
e------------17------17------17------17------17------17-------17------17
b-17---17------17------17------17------17------17-------17------17------
e-------17-
b--17------
e--------------17-----------17--------------17----------------17--------
b--17---17---------17---17-------17---17---------17---17---------17---17
e-20-------------20------------20------------20-------------20----------
b------17---17---------17---17------17---17-------17---17-------17---17-
e---20---21-
b-----------
And I lose it again here after the solo :o(

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official U2 tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
