AWAY NOW (Desperate Urban Love Song)
by Vertigo
Transcribed by:
The Sultan
(jenglish@agrium.com)
This track features fairly simple
chord arrangements, but they're
kind of double-layered. I've
transcribed mainly the rhythm part.
The song is intended for standard
tuning.
A
Look out your window
F
Out on the streets
A
There's a point of view that
F
You have never seen
Repeat pattern:
Inside, Looking out
You can't ever know
What it's like
To be out there
Bridge #1:
Em
But here I sit still
C
All alone
B
Until you come back
Em
To your senses
Chorus:
C
And I'll wait for you
F
Under the overpass
E B
The smoke of the cars going by
Em
Will never set me free
Dm
And I wonder
F
Are you waiting for me?
Bridge #2:
Am
Never gonna see what I want
G
You to see
Am G
Never gonna be that way
C
Will I settle for less?
B
Hope for the best?
E
I don't know
Guitar solo (rhythm part):
Em C Em Am (repeat twice)
Repeat bridge #1
Repeat chorus, last line add:
C B
too, like I've been waiting
Am G
for you
Repeat C/B/Am/G progression, then
close with F/E/G/Em/A
That's pretty much it...have fun, go easy...
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official VERTIGO tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
