Song : Can't Smile
Artist : Vex Red
Album : Start With A Strong and Persistant Desire
(March 2002)
-------------------
Tabbed by M.Beattie (insomnious3@yahoo.co.uk)
Here's the new stormer of a single from Vex Red. I
just picked it up today
have listened to it enough to figure out about 90% of
the guitar
work. Since I haven't already found the tab, I thought
I'd do it myself.
If you have any problems, feel free to email me.
My only request is that you don't rip this off as your
own
work, apart from that, feel free to share it.
Thanks.
--------------------
Tuning : Dropped-D
For the best sound, use a Gibson Les Paul - all the
guitarists
in Vex Red play them.
The tab below is for the chords which are played, NOT
the
number of times strummed. It's easy enough to work
that out from
the song.

Intro
*****
This distorted riff is played not only throughout the
Intro,
but also in the same fashion throughout each chorus.
It's not a vital
part, but if you have enough guitarists, then you
could add this.

This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official VEX RED tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
