WHEATUS - "teenage dirtbag" Tablature
Official WHEATUS Tablature & Sheet Music »
Song: Teenage Dirtabg
Band: Wheatus
Tabbed: Chris. Willdridge (willdridge@hotmail.com)
Comments: It's not absolutely correct, but this gives you a general idea of how it's played and, to be honest, most people won't notice if it's slightly wrong. Watch out to the single note stuff (which isn't tabbed) during the chorus and enjoy those tickets to "Iron Maiden baby, oo-oo-oo-oo-oo", (makes sense if you know the song...).
[E] [B] [E] [A]
Her name is Lowal, I have a dream about her.
[E] [B] [E] [A]
She rings my bell, I've got gym class in half an hour.
[E] [B] [E] [A]
Oh how she rocks, in kids and tube socks,
[E] [A] [B] [B]
But she doesn't know who I am,
[E] [A] [B]
And she doesn't she give a damn about me.
[E] [A] [B] [E] [B]
'Cos I'm just a teenage dirtbag baby,
[E] [A] [B] [E] [B]
Yea I'm just a teenage dirtbag baby,
[E] [A] [B]
Listen' to Iron Maiden baby with me
Oo-oo-oo-ee-ee.
Her boyfriend's a dick, he brings a gun to school,
And he'd simply kick my ass if he knew the truth,
He lives on my block and drives a Nirock.
But he doesn't know who I am,
And he doesn't give a damn about me.
'Cos I'm just a teenage dirtbag baby,
Yea I'm just a teenage dirtbag baby,
Listen' to Iron Maiden baby with me,
Oo-oo-oo-ee-ee.
[E5][B5][A5] [E5][B5][A5] {Second time the A is an octave lower, play this through the chorus).
Oo-yea, dirtbag,
[E5] [B5] [A5] [Ab5] (This bit hard to explain)
No, she doesn't know what she's missing!
Oo-yea, dirtbag,
No, she doesn't know what she's missing!
Man I feel like mold, it's prom night I and I all lonely
Low and behold, she's walking over to me,
This must be fake - my lip starts to shake
How does she know who I am? And why does she give a damn about me?
She said
"I've got two tickets to Iron Maiden baby,
Come with my Friday, don't say mabye,
I'm just a teenage dirtbag baby like you,
Oo-oo-oo-oo-oo."
Oo-yea, dirtbag,
No, she doesn't know what she's missing!
Oo-yea, dirtbag,
No, she doesn't know what she's missing!
Yea-aa.
[E5] [B5] [A5] [Ab5] [F#5] [E]
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official WHEATUS tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
