ZWAN - "Honestly" Tablature
Official ZWAN Tablature & Sheet Music »
Band: Zwan
Song: Honestly
Tuning: Standard (EADGBE)
Tabbed by: Peeewy
This is the first song that's been released by Billy Corgan's new band, Zwan. It kinda
sounds like a Smashing Pumpkins song, but after all, Corgan did write it. You can hear the
song at www.zwan.com/honestly.html, or listen for it on the radio.
There's supposedly three guitarists in the band, but I think this version sounds pretty
good. To play the verse part correctly, you need to use a flanger. The lightest settings on
mine sounded the best. Also, this is my first attempt at tabbing a song out, so any comments,
advice, insults, etc. will be appreciated.

That's pretty much the whole song. There's one part after the second chorus where the D
chord is strummed with the flanger on for a short time, before going back into the third part
of the chorus, which is played until the end of the song. Also, there's two solos in the song,
one low one over the end of the first chorus, and a distorted, Pumpkins-esque solo at the end.
I'll try to figure them out, but I suck at figuring out solos, so if anyone else knows them or
figures them out, please e-mail me at halfbob2000@aol.com.
Lyrics
I believe
I believe
I believe
The love you talk about with me
Is it true, do I care
Honestly
You can try
To wipe the memories aside
But it's you, that you erase
'Cause there's no place that I could be without you
It's too late to discard the life I once knew
Honestly
All the weathered storms I'll bring
Are just a picture of my needs
'Cause when I think of you as mine
And allow myself the time
To lead into the life we want
I feel loved, honestly
I feel loved, yes honestly
I believe
You mean the best that life can bring
I believe, in it all
Honestly
You can try
Your heart is just as long as mine
Is it ours, to let go
'Cause there's no place that I could be without you
It's too late to discard the life I once knew
Honestly
A simple wrong is not enough
To cover up the pain in us
'Cause when I think of you as mine
And allow myself the time
To lead into the life we want
I feel loved, honestly
I'll make a joke so you must laugh
I'll break your heart so you must ask
Is this the way to get us back
I don't know, honestly
I don't know
There's no place that I could be without you...
Honestly
This musical interpretation has been removed due to a legal threat from Moses & Singer LLP,
representing the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) and
The Music Publisher's Association of the United States (MPA).
Unfortunately, these threats are fueled by greed and being masked by a "copyright infringement." They claim tab sites are
"hurting the songwriters," but it's a known fact that the publishing companies garner most of the
revenue. Instead, they would prefer you to purchase the
official ZWAN tablature
which is an option we've always given our users. And due to the highly error-prone nature of tabs on the internet, many choose to go this route.
These companies also do not realize that tablature sites help to promote their artists.
For more information on this onslaught, you can read the
NY Times Article.
We hope one of the larger tablature sites will have the money to fight this. Until then, we urge you all to keep tabbing songs and sharing them in any way you can.
